Celebrates it's 3rd Anniversary

The Hills Business Group promotes businesses in The Hills development, a collection of 36 developments totaling over 5,000 households in Bedminster and Basking Ridge and throughout The Somerset Hills. The goals of the group are two fold – promote each other’s businesses through referrals and serve the local community with excellent products and services.

Lee Opperman, of Coldwell Banker Realtors, and Andy Tupler, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, initially conceived the idea in 2003 as a way to promote each other’s business. As they discussed the benefits, they realized that there was a wealth of small business owners and a fertile market here. “Who better to provide a referral than your neighbor?” asks Opperman. Over the last three years, the group has attracted over 20 members and covers a range of businesses, usually accepting only one member per business category.

They actively participate in local events including the Bedminster Fall Fest and Basking Ridge Charter Day, as well as school fund raisers. The group meets locally every other Tuesday from 7:30 – 8:30 AM to exchange ideas and referrals. The Hills Business Group promotes businesses, both large and small, in the Hills and surrounding areas. Our members receive the benefit of referrals within the group and our community receives the benefit of dealing with a trusted neighbor.

We strive to make our neighborhood a better place to live, work and shop and we are involved in charitable events. Contact us through our web site if you'd like to join our group or if you would like to request our sponsorship for one of your events.

Our meetings take place every other Tuesday morning, from 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM at The Hills Highland Recreation Center on Hansom Road in Basking Ridge. Our primary goal is to promote our individual members businesses and we do so by referral.
